Hi,

Nausea and vomiting are common side effects of IVF treatment and can occur due to the hormonal changes that take place during the process. In some cases, nausea and vomiting may also be side effects of the medications prescribed to stimulate egg production.

In your case, it seems that you developed ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) after egg retrieval, which can cause fluid buildup in the abdomen and lead to nausea and vomiting. The prescribed medications such as PAN 40, Festal-N, and Regestron 5 mg are meant to alleviate the symptoms and aid in the recovery process.

However, it appears that you are still experiencing these symptoms despite taking the prescribed medications. Your doctor has prescribed ZOFAR MD 4 and DUPHALAC to address nausea and vomiting and constipation respectively. It is important to follow the medication schedule as directed by your doctor and report any persisting symptoms to them.

In addition to medications, you may also find relief from nausea and vomiting by eating small, frequent meals, avoiding greasy or spicy foods, and staying hydrated. Gentle exercises and relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and meditation may also help alleviate symptoms. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it is important to contact your doctor for further evaluation and management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
