What Causes Nausea And Vomiting After Taking Tramadol For Abscess Under The Arms?

I went to the ER a day ago about an abscess forming under both of my arms. They gave me some antibiotics and pain medicine (tramadol). I took them both but when it was time to take the pain med again it made me very nausea. I wonder if it s because i took it without food. The next day i just took the antibiotics and still felt nausea til i vomited. In the mean time one of my abscess kind of ruptured, releasing a small amount of blood and pus. Was wondering what can i do at home to prevent it from getting infected, perhaps even spreading or shall i go back to the doctor?

hello...u did not mention size of the abscess, since how long u r taking antibiotics and wether u had fever. now one of the abscess had ruptured, it is better u visit your doctor again and revise your medications esp antibiotics. ans also ask for wether surgical drainage is required or not. nausea may be due to tramadol and antibiotics both. it is better to take them with food and antiemetics, antacids. if the swelling is not much painfull u can switch over to paracetamol too. and last check your blood sugars. thanks..hope u will get well soon.
