What Causes Nausea And Burning Sensation In The Stomach After Taking Doxycycline?

i am taking Doxycycline 100 mg. if i don t eat something before i take it i get very nausated, this morning my stomach started burning about an hr, after i took it.i drank a glass of milk, and after about an hr, my stomach quit burning. this evening i ate and took my pill with a glass of milk. no prob. since i take it with dairy and eat that its not going to help me? i am on my third day of the med. my email is YYYY@YYYY

Thanks for the query..

Nausea and burning sensation in stomach can be due to antibiotic intake as these are one of the common side effects of antibiotic intake..

I would suggest you to start taking Proton Pump Inhibitors like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole empty stomach, antacids like Milk of Magnesia can be taken half an hour before meals..
You should take more of probiotics like Yoghurt in diet..
Drink plenty of water..
You should avoid large meals and take small frequent meals..
