What Causes Nasal Congestion While Having Bronchiolitis?

I have Bronchiolitis and would like to know what it is. I am having bad coughs all the time and have congestion in my nose. I understand that there is not a cure for it nor any medicine. I also have a lot of lung diseases (Sjogrens in my lungs, eyes and teeth). I have a lot of autoimmune diseases = Rheumatoid arthritis, Polymyalgia Rhelumatica, Reynauds, etc. The doctor said I have a lot of mucous in my lungs. I am very exhaused and out of breath and weak. I just want to go to bed. I am 82 years so I know I have to expect bad health, but just want to understand it. The doctor said I do not have Emphasema because I never smoked. I just want to know what s wrong with me so I can understand.

Hello,

Bronchiolitis is an infection of bronchioles (terminations of bronches) that is generally caused by viral infection and need no antibiotics to go.

As for congestions and mucus, you can use mucolytics and Clenil aerosol. Take a rest and take regularly your medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
