What Causes My Chronic Sleep Depravation?

Hi.

I am a 30 year old female, 165 lbs, 5.4 feet tall. I exercise regularly and eat healthily.

I try to be in bed by 10:00 / 11pm everynight, but wake up almost every morning at 3am. Most of the time I am hot and sweating too.

This results in me being a zombie for most of the day. In fact I have had a problem getting enough sleep for as long as i can remember. I always feel like I have been out parting the night before and gone to bed at like 2am.

I don't have caffeine after 4 in the afternoon either, whether it be tea, coffee or chocolate.

I struggle to lose weight, and feel like I am unable to function during the day due to a perpetual lack of sleep.

Welcome here.
You have problem of insomnia.
I have some suggestions for you:
1. You can take a glass of warm milk before going to sleep. A warm water bath can also help.
2. Practice relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation in evening.
3. Associate your bed with sleep only. Donot keep lying on bed idly for reading books or watching tv.
4. If you donot get sleep in half an hour of lying onto bed, leave the bead and take a walk in your balcony.
5. Drugs like klonopin or ativan (prescription drugs) can help to induce sleep.
