Hi,

Putting on weight and pain in the abdomen are not related. But your rectus abdominis muscle faces more strain while getting up and doing exertion.

Other possibilities like fatty liver or hepatitis or renal stone may present like this.

You need to be examined to know the cause of pain. Is it intraabdominal or rectus muscle related.

Please get an ultrasound abdomen, urine examination then consult your physician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
