What Causes Muscle Cramps After Reattaching An Achilles Tendon?
I have had 2 ankle surgeries this year. During the first surgery they cut my Achilles tendon and stretched it and then reattached. I felt about two weeks following that surgery and ripped the muscle or something in that area. Ive had muscle cramps since then if I attemt to climb stairs or go up a hill. The first surgery was in March and the 2nd one in December. We didn t surgically address the tendon/muscle issue at that time. I m in my 2nd cast for this last surgery and still have cramps in my calf. Is there a specialist that I need to see or will it go away when the cast comes off and I can stretch that tendon and muscle again?
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your experience with muscle cramps following 2 surgeries at your Achilles tendon I am suggesting that you have developed a condition called Achilles tendinitis with hyperigidity
In view of this please take some muscle relaxant and analgesic and visit a physiotherapist at least three times a week
I hope this helps Regards and get well soonest
