What Causes Muscle Aches With Red Spots On The Little Finger?

Hi, 3 days ago I started feeling pain all over my body and felt the chill all over my body. Yesterday pain turned to muscle aches and sore throat but i have noticed 2 red spots (1 on my right pinky finger and 1 at the bottom of my right foot). Today the muscle aches are gone and my throat is much better but I have noticed that 1 red spots on my right pinky finger has grown from about 3mm diameter to 10mm and there are 3 other spots on my right fingers and 2 others spots on my left fingers as well. Should I be concerned? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, these can be due to viral infection however clotting profile, blood counts to look for platelets especially should be done.

Nothing else should be used for pain or fever except acetaminophen if no previous allergy to it is present as others can worsen these spots if caused by blood thinning. If persist, a dermatologist review is recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
