I have mouth sores that lasting over two months. I had been to the doctor they cannot find out what s wrong. They ve done a biopsy it s not cancer or lupus. It s not dentures because I have not worn my dentures in almost 2 months. I also have continuous dry nose with bleeding for almost two years which no one can help me with either. I ve been using a sinus nose wash. At times my right eye also gets very red and irritated like it there s something in it. It get red like pink eye, but it s not. All these things happen on the right side of my face.
Vitamin deficiency and acid reflex are most common causes for long standing oral ulcer. As of now, you can take multivitamin supplements like Supradyn and antacids like Omeprazole for faster recovery.
Avoid spicy foods and reduce the intake of alcohol. If lesion persists to consult a physician and get evaluated, in that case we have to rule out immunological causes like Behcet disease also.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
