Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be due to stress or trauma (as surgery is major trauma) or due to drugs like centrally acting sedatives and antidepressants, etc. Most commonly depression after surgery seen many patients. Avoid centrally acting muscle relaxant and pain killer medication. You may consult your psychiatrist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
