Thank you for your query.

AKT-4 contains 4 different antibiotics that effectively treat and cure Tuberculosis when taken as prescribed.
Some of these antibiotics may affect the muscles and cause weakness.
If this is severe (unable to function normally), he needs to see his physician who may decide to either reduce the dosage or change the medications.

Prolonged muscle damage may lead to kidney failure and hence needs to be ruled out .
I recommend seeing his doctor right away.

In the meantime, monitor his urine output, hydration status.
Make sure he is hydrated well (water, fresh juices, soups count, caffeine, sodas, alcohol, canned or boxed juice dont count). Note if there is any orange disclouration to the urine and report this to the doctor.

The recovery will be slow but complete if treated promptly. these effect subside once the medication course is over.

Tuberculomas could be compressing against brain tissue, if they are growing in size. (unlikely in his case as he has developed this after medications and seems to otherwise well). Howveer it should be ruled out as well.

Please mention other medications (any medications - may seem irrelevant but do mention it) to his doctor as they can interact with the AKT-4. Also consult his doctor before starting him on any new medications for other purposes

Alcohol should be avoided.

Hope this helps. Wish you both good health.
