What Causes Missed Period And Abdominal Pain While Pregnancy Test Is Negative?

I have a missed period went to get blood work twice 48 hours in between and hcg levels were at 9 both times. So dr said I wasn t pregnant because levels never changed. They said it s possible if my hormones are acting up. :/ now I have pain on my lower stomach. First I had it on left lower side now I have it on my right. I don t know if I should worry.
