What Causes Missed Period After Taking Diane?

Hello Doctor. I was taking Diane for 3 years and all was regular. After my last period I stopped taking it as my relationship ended. I had sex prior to that period whilst I was still on Diane. Pregnancy test was negative. No period since I stopped taking Diane 6 weeks ago. Is this usual? I am 48 and also wondered if it could be linked to peri menopause or menopause. Thank you for your advice.

After stopping OCPs, it can take upto 6 months for your periods to be regular. So you dont need to worry about that.

And given your age, irregularity of your periods can be due to peri menopausal state.
