In my opinion you should first undergo chest x ray and rule out infection first. If this is normal than it must be GERD ( gastroesophageal reflux disease). In GERD gastroesophageal sphincter is malfunctioning so acid in the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause symptoms. Follow these simple steps for GERD.
1. Avoid spicy and oily food.
2. Avoid heavy meals, Take frequent small meals.
3. Avoid stress and anxiety and keep calm. .
4. Take good antacids like pantoprazole and rabeprazole with prokinetic agents like levosulperide.
5. Go for walk after meals. .
6. Keep 2 - 3 pillows below your head in the bed.
