What Causes Mild Reaction After Eating Shrimp?
My son ate strir fry with shrimp in it. He has been asleep for 2 hours now but about 1 hour ago he gasped for air in his sleep. It woke me up. He has a cold so I assumed it was due to congestion but as I laid thinking about it I realized what he had eaten. He once before had a mild reaction to shrimp (itchy roof of mouth). So now I'm afraid to go back to bed. He's sleeping well and I don't see any facial swelling. Is there anything I should do?

Its unlikley to be due to reaction to shrimp.
Absence of rash or any other breathing difficulty reduces the likelihood of allergy.
Have a look at his respiration every 1 hour.
