What Causes Mild Pelvic Pain, Acne On Face And Back While On Levlen?

Hi, I am currently on levlen ed birth control and in the last couple months I have had a very slight dull constant pain in my overie and my breast are tender and have started getting a little bit of acne on my face and back, would it be wise to change pills?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have mild pelvic pain, acne on face and back while on Levlen . Well the symptoms like pelvic pain you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like food allergy , indigestion , kidney stones , motion sickness and stomach flu .

Back and face acne scars which occurs because these areas are rich in sebaceous glands and pores of glands gets blocked. For now drink plenty of warm water , avoid eating gas forming food like dairy product , cabbage , apply warm compresses on pelvic and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Apply warm compresses on pelvic are aand cold compresses to rashes to reduce redness and swelling .

I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for pelvic pain and dermatologist for acnes . Doctor may order stool test , blood test and ultrasound . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic or omeprazole . Dermatologist may prescribe benzoyl peroxide ointment and long with anti biotics and anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to urologist in case of UTI .
