What Causes Mild Drainage From Ear With Foul Smell?

Okay so my question is, my 2 year old son has had minor drainage from his ears I took him to his ent ( he had tubes last summer) his ent said to give him drops and come back in 2weeks and since that appointment his ear is draining more and has a very foul odor that you can smell from about a foot away from him. I am unsure as to why its like that and am just looking for answers since his ent won t answer it. What can I do for him

See your child is undergoing a problem called as ASOM, acute suppurative otitis media.
Usually there ll be foul smelling discharge from the ear if there is infection in the middle ear. And there may or may not be associated perforation of his tympanic membrane which will be evident only on examining him.
For now wat is required is to completely get rid of the infection by maintaining aural toilet and giving the entire course of both oral and local antibiotics.
Ear hygeine is vital. Even a single drop of water entering his middle ear will lead to problem.take care of him.
