What Causes Mild Brown Vaginal Bleeding Post Protected Intercourse?

My last period was 11th of March, my next period is supposed to be 7th of April. I had unprotected sex March 4th which is before my last period and I used a contraceptive pill, then I got my last period which was March 11th, so I guess everything was fine. Then on the 16th of March, I had unprotected sex again, which I still took a contraceptive pill just incase but I know March 16th is my safe period day. Then March 19th and 20th, I had sex using condom. My ovulation day is between March 24th,so my fertile period should be between March 22nd-26th. But I had sex with condom March 20th and 19th and didn t take any contraceptives. Yesterday 24th of March and today 25th march (my ovulation period), I saw brownish blood spottings in my panties,it s kind of slimy and thin, I m very scared, the first thing that came to my mind was implantation, but I know implantation takes like 10days after fertilization to occur, so even if I was pregnant , it wouldn t be too soon, because the egg needs time to travel to the uterus for implantation. I read about ovulation bleeding, I don t know if that is what s happening to me,because this is the first time it s happening to me. Could I be pregnant? Can implantation occur 5-6days of having sex?(protected sex in my case)?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
No the brown vaginal spotting or bleeding you had should not be implantation bleeding. It should be breakthrough bleeding as per my opinion. Breakthrough bleeding occurs due to intake of emergency contraceptive pill & normally occurs within 3 weeks of intake of pill & you should not be much concerned about it.
This occurs due to action of high dose of levonorgestrel in emergency contraceptive pill which disrupts your normal menstrual cycle & causes this bleeding. Breakthrough bleeding means that intake of plan B pill was successful in preventing pregnancy by disrupting your menstrual cycle, hence bleeding occurred. This bleeding has not relation with getting pregnancy.
Chances of implantation happening following intake of emergency contraceptive pill intake is very less. Also ovulation to happen in cycle following intake of emergency contraceptive pill is very uncommon.

An emergency contraceptive pill is intended to use in case of emergency purposes. These pills can cause irregular periods & other harmful effects. Use condom or regular contraceptive pill regularly as method of preventing unwanted pregnancy in future.
However as you had multiple sexual intercourse in past month, you are advised to rule-out possibility of pregnancy by doing a pregnancy test as well

Don't worry you would be fine
Hope this information helps
