What Causes Migraine Headaches?

I have migraine headaches that cause me a lot of pain and I had a shot from the doctor Toradol (sorry, missed the spelling on this one), that worked for about 18 hours and now, the migraine is back. What tests can be done to determine what is causing the migraine headaches? Do certain foods cause migraines?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your migraine issue.

There can be any trigger factor for migraine including the foods.

You may need to separate the cause by yourself, when you have the episode check what was new on the day on your food and also compare it with the last episode if you had that food taken too on that date.

You can take naproxin analgesic for migraine, it helps better than other drugs available like the paracetamol you had.

You can also take prophylaxis for the Migraine after consulting a neurologist.

Yes, food is the important cause of migraine.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any further questions.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
