Hi,

As per your complain burning and irritated tongue along with reduced taste sensitivity in your case seems to be most probably due to side effect of medication. There is a possibility that you might also have a dry mouth and it is leading to altered taste as well as inflammation inside mouth. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation has to be done.

As of now you can gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine to relieve burning and irritation. Suck ice pops. Take vitamin b complex supplements. Maintain a good oral hygiene and take a soft and bland meal. In case if medication is ruled out to be a culprit then you can consult your Physician so that appropriate dose alterations can be done for reducing the symptoms.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
