What Causes Menstrual Cramps Like Sensation Despite Taking A Contraceptive After Sex?

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I had sex and the condom broke. We do not know how long it was broken for. As he pulled out, he squirted but we do not believe anything for inside of me. I am on birth control and yesterday was the last day of the pill for being on my period. When I got home, I started to have a little bit of blood (not the normal blood that I have at the end of the period-like a brown discharge). Currently I am having cramps that feel like period cramps, should I be worried?? Particularly about being pregnant?

Hi, I really appreciate your concern about the situation. I want to assure you that you have covered all your bases by using Pills as well as condoms which prevents you against STDs which is a very good thing to do. I want to assure you that the cramps you are getting are most probably due to withdrawal bleeding after completing contraceptive pill course.
you have nothing to worry about pregnancy. I also want to suggest that you should use quality condoms and good amount of Water based lubricant during sex to prevent mishaps like this happening again.
