What Causes Memory Loss And Urinary Incontinence After A Fall?
my husband fell two months ago and broke his ankle, this is doing well but ever since he has loss of memory and incontinence. Could this be caused by his fall, or does he have Hydrocephalas. He was at the Heart Dr. yesterday and he mentioned to seek information about this? Ed is 78, weight is about 300+- and was a Journalist all of his life. Now he does not know who is playing in the World Series. This has all come about in the last 2 months.
Urinary incontinence is common among women after 50 and usually is caused by urinary infections or weakened pelvic floor. This is also a common and often embarrassing problem. If overreactive or incontinent bladder affects your daily activities, don't hesitate to see your doctor. For most people, simple lifestyle changes or medical treatment can ease discomfort. It is treated with specific medications, pelvic floor muscles exercises, electric stimulation of behavioral treatment and in most cases this is adequate for incontinence control. If cystitis is a cause as a bacterial infection then it must be treated with antibiotics. Surgical options are reserved for severe and intractable cases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
