What Causes Mark On Arm After BSG Vaccination?

Hello, I am worried about my baby. The health visitor told me few weeks ago that my baby had already the BSG vaccination but the following week we looked with another health visitor again and she said she see no records of it and her arm does not have the mark of it. So she had a BSG vaccination and I can see the there is mark on her arm again. Is it dangerous if my baby had the vaccination twice by mistake.thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It it understandable to be concerned bu if the vaccine was previously given, the nurse or health care worker would normally record it and there would be a mark.
It is one type of vaccine that usually always leaves at least a small scar.

Since there was no record of it and no mark seen, it is not likely that she had it before.

I hope this helps
