What Causes Malaise, Lack Of Appetite And Listlessness?

I m scheduled for a thyroid test this week. I didn t know I had a problem other than malaise, listlessness, increase in appetite, therefore huge weight gain. What is the doc looking for with this test? All I know is I have to take a pill at 8:00 am Wednesday, have an xray then return the next day for another xray.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of malaise, listlessness, increase in appetite and huge weight gain.
To get to the diagnosis which most probably thought of is hypothyroidism one has to go for the thyroid function tests along with to rule out diabetes and so on.
The pill to be taken and to take one X-ray must have been for thyroid scan.
I would also advise yo the following:
To go for a proper clinical evaluation and examination by a Specialist so that a proper clinical diagnosis and management can be planned.
You also need a consultation with a Dietitian and the exercise trainer as control of diet and increase in exercises is going to be a part of the management program.
