thank you for the query.... from the history you have provided, it seems that your daughter has had a bacterial infection leading to enlargement of the post auricular (behind the ear) and occipital and posterior triangle (back of the head) lymph nodes...they could have been present since last few days and came to your notice today... however they are very common with sore throats and common cold... calpol will reduce the fever and malaise but a course of antibiotic will be really useful...tab coamoxyclav 375 thrice a day for 3-5 days should be effective in this situation...for cough, you can use cough syrup twice/thrice daily for dry cough/cough with sputum accordingly... hope this was helpful... regards
