What Causes Lump In The Pelvis Region While Suffering From HIV?
I am a long time HIV survivor (over 20 years) with no opportunistic infection episodes. I was however, diagnosed with KS and underwent 3 months of chemo in the summer of 2014. My cancer has been deemed in remission . Today, I have a lump in the inner crease of my left leg (closer to my pelvis). A year ago, it was the size of a dime. Today, its about the size of a nickel. The lump is not noticeable as it feels deeply imbedded. The lump does not leak, does not hurt (a slight discomfort when squeezed). I do not want to jump to the Cancer-conclusion immediately. Its possible it could be a benign cist. Is there any insight to what the lump could be?

This lump can be a enlarge inguinal lymphnode. lymphadenopathy is one of the sign of HIV infection and underlying pathology should be always rule out. It may be simple reactionary, infective , koch's lymphadenopathy or sometimes malignant (carcinomatous). As you have history of kopisi's sarcoma better you go for fine neddle aspiration cytology for that lump to rule out malignancy or other etiology for early diagnosis and treatment.
