Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got my wisdom teeth removed about 4 weeks ago. I took all my antibiotics and have been regularly cleaning the sites of removal. Yesterday I noticed a hard lump on the right side of my lower jaw that hurts when I press on it. I m not sure if this is an infection or not.
Hi, From history it seems that there might be having root abscess and now fibrosed and encapsulated. Another possibility of having broken root of extracted wisdom tooth remained inside while extraction. X-ray of that area will give some clue regarding your problem. Consult your dentist and get examined. Ok and take care.
