What Causes Lump And Bruise On The Arm After An Injury?
Last weekend I was chasing my 2 year old and I hit my arm on the corner of the wall and it immediately created a lump i just figured it was like a goose egg or somesomething but its been a weeks and it still hurts and the lump is still there with a big bruise around it. What could it be?
As per your complain due to hitting the arm there has been trauma to the soft tissues leading to rupture of small blood vessels and there is accumulation of blood, inflammatory exudate, inflammatory cells as well as dead tissue in the area of injury leading to formation of a lump.. At times the Hematoma becomes localized and firm and it takes a longer time to resolve but you need not to worry as it will gradually resolve.. -You can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen 400 mg for relieving pain.. -Apply Thrombophob gel over the lump .. -Do alternate warm and cold compresses.. -in case if there is excessive pain then topical application of Lignocaine gel will help in numbing the area and provide relief..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards..
