What Causes Lower Right Abdominal Pain?

I have been experiencing pain in my lower right side. It s a very specific spot that always hurts. Sometimes the pain will go through me and into my lower back. Sometimes it s a dull pain and sometimes very sharp and will keep me awake at night. This has been going on for well over a year. I have tried to keep track of when I was having pain, but there never seems to be any rhyme or reason to it. Lately it s been very constant just changes how severe the pain is. I have been to the clinic and an ultra sound was done looking for ovarian cysts. Nothing abnormal was found. The also have said it s not my appendix. What else could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It can be a kidney stone and it can appear in ultrasound.
Also an urine analysis can be done.
If it is not a kidney stone it can be inflammation of the bowel .

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
