the past few days i have been getting lower back pain in my left side, last night the pain moved to the right side, and now both sides are throbbing which is the only way i can describe this. There is no blood in my urine or stools, and no other symptoms. It s just very uncomfortable for me. Any help as to what this could be would be wornderful , thank you very much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Looking at your history, it mostly seems like an colicky pain probably due to a renal stone so I would suggest you to drink plenty of water first about 8-10 litres per day and then if it doesn't relieve can go for an abdomen and pelvis USG to rule out further.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajatha S. S., General & Family Physician
