Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
Your pain in left leg with back pain can be explained by l5s1 disc prolapse. Since two mri were done and with same findings and you are not getting benefit from medications you should go for epidural kenocort injection which helps to reduce swelling and inflammation around disc and hence nerve compression due to disc prolapse. Please take visit to pain expert nearby you for this purpose. All the best..nerve conduction studies will add to diagnosis and will not provide any additional information so I think not needed.
