General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting are indicating acute gastroenteritis (bowel infection). Most probably due to virus.

Feeling weakness and lethargy is due to loss of fluids and electrolytes when having diarrhoea and vomiting.

You have not been treated adequately during this week, that's why you feel weak. If cannot take in anything and keep throwing up, should go to ER as you need intravenous therapy.

Otherwise, should take:

- plenty of fluids, especially water with oral rehydration salts
- probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- tasectan or Pepto Bismol to stop the diarrhoea
- multivitamin supplement to restore the lost energy.
- antacids to stabilize stomach pH.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
