What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Constipation While On Metformin And Fenofibrate?

Yes, I have been have pains in my lower abdomen and I ve been taking gas x several times a day. I have been constipated and when I do finally go it is short skinny bums or diarrhea. I take medseveryday, I am diabetic. I take metformin, Crestor, Effexor, losartan for blood pressure and fenofibrate with prescription D2. I also take multi vitamin, turmeric, glucosamine condroiton and biotin

Dear glucosamine and chondroitin may cause constipation. Fenofibrate also may be a reason for it. Eat high fibre diet and regular exercise may improve the symptoms.

Use syrp lactulose 30ml at night may be useful. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
