What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Blood In Urine?

I have lower abdominal pain that comes and goes and is sometimes quite intense. I am being treated for a bladder infection, which I think I have, but also something worse. I had blood but little bacteria in a urine sample. Been on Cipro for 6 days but not any better

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Lower abdominal pain and blood in urine(Hematuria) point to a UTI. UTI or bladder infection respond well on cipro.I will suggest you continue the treatment as prescribed by your Doctor, see your Doctor before the last dose as treatment duration may also be judged by clinical response.I will also advise you drink enough water. If symptoms persist after seeing your Doctor for a complete treatment, a urine culture/sensitivity test will be helpful.
Hop this will help
Wish you a speedy recovery
