What Causes Lower Abdomen Pain And Diarrhea Along With Fever?

My husband is having pain in his left lower abdomen and has had diarrhea off and on for a week. He may also be running a fever. He has a doctor appointment tomorrow and he is starving - no vomiting or nausea. Should I take him to ER or can we wait for doctor appt tomorrow and can he have dinner tonight?

you can wait for doctor's appointment tomorrow. i guess it can be due to a pathology in his large intestine which can be possibly due to diverticulitis, in which he may have symptoms of diarrhea along with fever.
