What Causes Low Testosterone Levels Despite Taking Testosterone Cypionate?

Hi, I m currently taking 300mg of testosterone cypionate biweekly. I ve been on it for about a year and my natural levels, or any levels of testosterone are not increasing. My prolactin, LH, and FSH levels are normal, liver function is normal and I m only 25. Male. My free testosterone level is 145. Any idea what could be causing levels to stay low?

Hi,

First, let me explain that testosterone cypionate effect starts from 3rd week after starting medicine and will be at platue level at 6 weeks. It's effect last for 6 months. if you get to benefit from 6 months then fine otherwise it's not going to help you anymore.

There are various reading for low testosterone. amongst them, overweight is most common. so I advise you following ways to boost your testosterone levels.

Reduce weight upto ideal adult male range. Do exercise and weight lifting daily. Have high protein diet and reduce carbohydrates and fat consumption in diet. Control sugar intake in food. Have regular rest and sleep. Relieve stress that will reduce cortisol. Eat green leafy vegetables and whole fruit.
