General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I feel you may be suffering from mild sleep apnea. Since no other serious symptoms like breathlessness were reported, lifestyle measures may help control symptoms.

I will advise you try the following:
• Regular physical exercises
• Weight control
• Avoid alcohol and certain medications such as tranquilizers and sleeping pills
• Sleep on your side or abdomen rather than on your back
• Avoid smoking

If symptoms become persistent, you see the doctor for other treatment options.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
