What Causes Low Hemoglobin Levels While Having Autoimmune Hepatitis?
what kind of diet changes are normally used and what do I take for iron supplements if I think I may have anemia.? I recently had some blood work done and I have low hemoglobin levels. what are the chances because of this reading I have cancer.? I currently take medicine because I have autoimmune hepatitis, which I have had since 2005. this however is the first time any tests have come back showing a low hemoglobin level. what is your best guess on what this all means. I am seeing a doctor and have a appointment set up but I wanted to do some research and ask other opinion s. thank you.
Hi You seem quite anxious. First of all, there is nothing to be worried about. For dietary management of iron deficiency anemia, increase intake of green leafy vegetables. Red meat is rhe richest source of iron. Take a healthy balanced diet and according to hemoglobin levels and rest of the blood report, medicine can also be started. But as you have not mentioned your report, I would not advice any. Thank you
