I ve just been taking acetaminophen as I can t take a lot of medications. If this clears up should I get a flu shot when I feel better?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Flu like symptoms does not present with low grade fever with fatigue and diarrhea. It causes more of respiratory symptoms like cough, runny nose along with fever.
What you are having is infective diarrhea.
Hence, you need to take a course of antibiotics containing Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole. You can continue to take Acetaminophen tablet when you feel feverish.
Drink good quantities of liquids. You can consume Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) and tender coconut water to overcome tiredness.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
Wish you speedy recovery.
