my 3 month old just had her hib and prevnar vaccine on Thursday - aug 4. she had a low grade fever that night and was very fussy and not sleeping well Thursday and Friday night. Saturday still fussy but a hoarseness in her voice has set in. sounds like she has laryngitis. could that be an allergic reaction to the vacines?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to vaccination.

Don't worry, fever is common after vaccination.

For that, you can give syp acetaminophen as prescribed by pediatrician.

It will subside within 3 to 4 days. Keep him hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
