What Causes Low WBC Count While On Tecfidera?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Tecfidera can cause a decrease in your white blood cell count, which could increase your risk for developing potentially serious infections. You will need to have a blood test to check your white blood cell count within six months before starting treatment.
Then you should check again at least once a year during treatment.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
