What Causes Low TSH Value And High T4 Value?

Hi.....am a patient of Papillary CA Thyroid. Total thyroidectomy in2003 with RAI 131 done.....Staus ever since has been disease free. However got my thyroid profile done last week. Very high t3 t4. t4 is nearly double and ofcourse tsh is 0.011...supressed. Am on 300 mcg of eltroxin daily. My wieght is 48 ks. Do i need to see my endo for this. Am due for my yearly consult in Oct. Is there anything to worry about.

I do understand your query.
the actual hormonal level shows that you are taking an overdose of eltroxin.
So you have iatrogenic hyperthyroidism.
You should lower the dose without waiting too much.
If you were a patient in my clinic, i would suggest to take 250 mcg of eltroxin and recheck the hormones after 6 weeks.
If they will be within the normal ranges keep the dose for other 6 months.
