Hi,

Low red blood cell (RBC) count and hemoglobin levels can be caused by various factors, including bleeding or anemia. In the case of a ureteral stone, the low RBC and hemoglobin counts may be due to bleeding from the urinary tract. The stone may have caused damage or irritation to the ureter or bladder, leading to bleeding.

Additionally, smoking and alcohol consumption can contribute to anemia, as they can both affect the body's ability to produce red blood cells. These factors may be exacerbating the effects of the bleeding caused by the stone.

Your father needs to continue drinking plenty of fluids to help flush out the stone and reduce the risk of complications. He should also avoid smoking and drinking alcohol, as these habits can further worsen his condition. It is recommended that he follow up with his doctor for further evaluation and treatment of his stone and any related issues such as anemia.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
