What Causes Loss Of Taste And Smell While Treating Bronchitis And Flu?

I had a bout of bronchitis and flu and took antibiotics for them. I had loss of smell and taste which I attributed it to the flu. It has now been over a month and have only limited smell and taste. I now have noticed cracking sounds in my nose when I get up in the morning. I also noticed when I blow my nose my right ear sounds like it has fluid in it. Can you give advice on what it may be?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

It could still be due to flu. Take steam, do warm water gargles. Avoid cold and spicy foods. If the problem still persists, consult your ENT specialist for examination.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shubham Mehta, Psychiatrist
