Hi,

The sense of taste can be affected in your wife by two ways-

The sense of smell always contributes in sense of taste & having sinus infection her sense of taste would have been hampered to affect the sense of taste.

- Viruses can affect nerve endings /the antibiotics given to treat the condition damage normal oral cavity flora the lactobacillus to hamper food taste.

Let her start with supplements of B complex with lactobacilli to improve her taste. Vitamin B12 injections would damage sensation of smell &taste over the time & she would recover within a fortnight.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
