What Causes Loss Of Hearing And Earache?

My friend was having a hard time hearing out of his left ear and says he gets a lot of earwax and has cleaned it in the past. He bought 3% hydrogen peroxide and diluted it. He then got a spray bottle and started spraying it into his ear saying that is how you remove wax. Now he still is hard of hearing, his ear hurts, and he has white spots just outside his ear.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Some persons do use hydrogen peroxide to remove ear wax but normally only a few drops of the diluted fluid is used.

He likely used too much of the fluid in his ear.

With a history of decreased ear, though it may be due to the excess wax, it would be best for him to be seen by his doctor for assessment and management.
The white spots are due to damage to the skin from the hydrogen peroxide, it should heal.

I hope this helps
