What Causes Loose Stools Even After Giving Emestet Syrup For My Child?

Hi, My daughter is 3.7 yrs old amd weighs 14 kilos. She had severe vomiting and loose stools(only twice yesterday) since yesterday. On her paed's advice, have adminstered emestet syrup after which the vomiting stopped. But she still has loose stools. Her paed has advised to give econorm(sachets) & lots of fluids(ORS). But nothing in particular for stools. Should I be giving her any specific mendicines for loose stools or is this enough?

She has also advised to give junior lanzon(sachets) or nexpro for the next 3 days.

Kindly advice.

Hi,
Having loose stool for 2 times a day is normal just you need to replenish fluid n electrolytes lost in stool. As her vomiting episode stopped so don't worry.
Keep on repleneshing fluid n electrlyte through ORS n have trust on ur paediatretion. If the frequency increases becomes irritable , dull, excessive cry etc then again consult him.

Thanks n regards
