What Causes Loose Stool, Diarrhea And Nausea Post Travelling?

Oh man . . . returned from South American ~10 days ago. Loose stools, but not yet explosive diarrhea, though at times, it feels like it. Stomach, gut growling. Slight nausea, but nothing remarkable. 65 y.o. female, very athletic, in very good health. Now what?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it appears that you could be having infective diarrhea.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Take Tablet. Pantoprazole with Domperidone combination on empty stomach in the morning.
2. Take a course of Tablet. Ciprofloxacin with Tinidazole combination twice daily after food.
3. Keep yourself hydrated by consuming regularly oral rehydration solution and fresh fruit juices.
Gradually, your symptoms should subside and be back to normal.
