What Causes Little, fluid Filled Blisters On Fingers?

hi i get little blisters on my fingers occasionally and also the palms of my fingers and sometimes on the arch of my feet. I sometimes pop the little watery blisters and a clear sticky like substance oozes out. on my hands i get these spots that will sometimes look like i have cigarette burns on them. I looked them up and found them to be like a dyshydrotic dermatitis or eczema type rash they start out very itchy then the blisters appear then a dry patch then the soreness like and ovalish type spot on my hand that is very dry and painful. What should i do. My daughter has been living with me for about a month and is now experiencing the same stuff now. Please help I know it's not contagious.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Judging from your description it seems to me to be a case of pompholyx or dyshidrotic eczema which can break open and can get secondarily infected with bacteria. It is not contagious and both of you having it could just be a coincidence.

I usually advice my patients of pompholyx to apply a topical Potent steroid+antibiotic cream twice daily for 2-3 weeks.

An OTC antihistamine once daily e,g cetrizine would help deal with the itching.

regards
