What Causes Liquid Flow In The Throat After Burping?

I ve been sick for the past four days. I ve been vomiting, my back on the right side hurts, and i started eating yesterday and everytime I burp it s like a liquid version comes back up and I feel it sitting in the bottom of my throat right above my chest. What is it?

Hey,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
The symptoms mentioned by you are typical of gastro esophageal reflux disease or GERD.GERD Is quite common worldwide.
It leads to regurgitation of food content into esophagus causing esophagitis and vomiting with burning sensation.
For treatment pantooprazole with domperidone in combination to be taken with empty stomach.
Liquid antacids to be used after meal.
Stress is a major factor and lifestyle modification is a must.
Avoiding spicy and high fat food will be of great help.
An upper GI Endoscopy will be diagnostic.
